Accomodations:
SALOON, MAIN DECK Salon access is via port or starboard side sliding doors. The large Salon is the nucleus of this popular vessel. The distinct Lower Helm is situated in the forward quarter leaving the balance to house new stereo entertainment system with a 42" HDTV LCD TV; Bose Accumass surround sound stereo system. There is a comfortable leather couch to starboard and new recliner to port with tasteful end tables and lamps. All windows feature custom blinds. The headliner and carpet were replaced in the summer of 2008. The saloon has 2 AC/heater units ensuring a comfortable environment no matter the time of year. An electric free standing fireplace was installed during the winter of 2008 which adds a nice homey touch to this very comfortable room. The lower helm contains Mathers electronic engine controls with synchronizer and remote control with 20' tether, Samsung 19" LCD monitor for the Nobeltec navigation software, FloScan engine instrumentation, Simrad autopilot and a KVH 1000 electronic compass. There is a ships clock and barometer and Standard Horizon VHF radio in the panel above the helm. Also on this panel is the remote control for the 1 mile searchlight, controls for the 3 electric windshield wipers and Buell air horn with air supplied from a dedicated compressor on the port engine. All of the main AC/DC electrical meters were replaced with Blue Sea digital style in 2008. AFT DECK The canvas enclosed aft deck (new 2008) is accessed through dual French teak doors with fresh varnish in 2010. The side rails were also refinished in 2010 with fresh varnish. 2 folding chairs and teak casual table provides a comfortable area to socialize during nice weather. COCKPIT Down 4 steps from the aft deck is the spacious cockpit. This area is great for sunbathing or will accommodate a large number of fishermen. 4 flush mount style fishing rod holders are mounted into the gunwales. There is a large storage container for life jackets. Access to the transom is via a large swinging door. The swim platform has a swing down teak ladder. Access to the rudder hydraulics and associated hardware is located below decks. Fresh non-skid applied in the cockpit during the summer of 2010.FORWARD STATEROOM The Forward Guest Stateroom has upper and lower berths to starboard and a fully renovated ensuite head (new (10/2009 Raritan Elegant toilet) with shower. A washer and dryer (stackable) is located in a separate closet to starboard as you enter this area. A very large screened access hatch with screen and 3 portlights provide significant ventilation and light for this compartment. This room has its own air conditioner/heater system. Mechanical Equipment:
The Hatteras 53 foot motoryacht is known for their unique dual, stand-up engine rooms. Fore and aft doors provide convenient access to the main engines, hot water heater, Hynautic hydraulic steering components, fuel management manifold and the dual Racor 75/1000 Fuel Water Separators w/fuel priming pumps. The Mathers engine control computers are located in these rooms too. A remote oil change system for each main engines is located in the port engine room. Compressors for the CruiseAire A/C units are located in the engine room as are the 32 & 12 VDC battery chargers and inverter. All machinery is professionally maintained. New Mathers electronic engine controls were installed in August of 2000.nBoth props were in fine condition but were sent out to PropScan to be balanced using the latest computer technology. There are multiple electrical systems on this model Hatteras. The primary DC power is 32 Volts. Two new banks (4) (8 volts each) of batteries were installed in 2008. These batteries power the DC house lights, start the main engines, power the windlass and provide primary power for a 32VDC-12VDC converter used to power the Mathers electronic engine controls. There is a new set(2008) of (4) 6VDC Rolls/Surrette high capacity (800 Amp hour w/ seven year warranty) batteries to provide power to the new (2008) Xantrek MS3000 inverter. years. There is (1) 4D battery (new 2008) used to start the generator and provide backup power for the Mathers engine controls. AC shore power can be pulled from either 30amp or 50amp sources based on what is available at each port. While underway, the Northern Lights genset provides 12KW of AC power.
